Day 16 of training 2013


uchikomi drill

Three weeks have gone by and I am now getting over this cold! Just a nagging cough remains. It has been a difficult few weeks, but thankfully my family is now almost completely sick free. I was sidelined for a few training sessions, and I missed a tournament :(, but now I’m back to the gym making up the missed sessions.

Day 16 of training. 2 hour training.

“The 100″ workout

20 minute Warm up

100 speed uchikomi (form practice left and right double collar uchi-mata variation)

10 nagikomi (throw practice left and right double collar uchi-mata variation)

3 x 3 minute rounds newaza (ground technique sparring)

3 x 3 minute rounds randori (tewaza sparring)osotogari

5 minutes of cool down.

25 grams protein powder sport shake to recover.

Weighed in this morning 204 lbs (92 kg) . Feeling good. Thank you to all my training partners.

Now looking forward to the next training session.

Time to cool off from the inside out. As always workout, drink be merry.

  1. hey angel! i did the “100″ today! well, i started to do it before class but didn’t have enough time so i started over after class. i think i tried too hard though- i did it 14 minutes and now i’m afraid i can’t do better than that! there are downsides to setting the bar too high from the beginning!
