The judo season officially began with the completion of the Paris Grand Slam 2013. Day two comes to an end with IJF President Mr. Marius Vizer, “pleased” with the results of the games implementing the new rules for the International Judo Federation.
Judokas all over the globe watched the grand slam to see how the new rules would play part during the tournament. Some of the new rules are, shido at the border of the mat, no points scored for shidos and no grabbing below the belt, both offensively and defensively to name a few. These new rule were heavy enforced leading to a few matches ended by four shidos.
