“High Plains Drifter” Scottish Style Ale: Rockaway Brewing Company

Hello all!

I had a chance to try “High Plains Drifter” Scottish Style Ale right at the Rockaway Brewing Company in Long Island City, NY and boy was it a treat. (see previous post )  This is my follow up on my visit to the brewery. The ale was bottled days ago and the taste definitely reflected that for sure.

Description:
Scottish Ale is a dark, caramel sweet beer. Barrel-aged in oak bourbon casks from the Kings County Distillery.  A Deliciously savory malty beer. Chocolate aroma, notes of fruit (which I cannot make out, sort of prunny, that’s a word right?). Amazing palate feel and great tasting Ale.

Give it a try.

As Always workout, drink be merry.

Ps. this beer can stand up to a medium to strong cigar.

It’s a strong beer!
