This past month, the IBJJF presented the 2014 World Jiu Jitsu Championships. The event broadcasted live via internet pay per view from California State University – Long Beach, May 29 – June 1, 2014.
It was a exciting event with winners and losers, but the big winner over all were the fans of the sport.
The results are in. The big winner of the event was team Alliance taking both Adult Male and Female Academy titles. Here are the Academy results.
Adult Male – World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2014
1 – Alliance – 97
2 – Atos Jiu-Jitsu – 91
3 – Gracie Barra – 69
Adult Female – World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2014

What that means is bragging rights for a year. BJJ, like most team sports, prides itself on winning. BJJ being an individual played sport, but you sign up under a flag. YOU put it all out there on the mat, but when the match is over the points are tallied and your team gets points. Your coach live on that. That gives all kinds of opportunities to your coach and his or her team.
The most notable is the Black Belt Division. That is where the whos who of BJJ show case their talents. Here are some results.
